This week, we take a closer look at one of the high points of Corvette style and power with this 1969 Chevrolet Corvette roadster featuring the 435 HP L71 427 V8 under the hood.   This beautiful Daytona Yellow 4-speed Corvette is nearly all original, and is showing just over 30,000 miles on the odometer.    Even the original analog clock still works!    It's an amazing car from the Brothers Collection.

What starts off looking like a plain-Jane 1973 Camaro is really a pretty rare Z/28 with the optional stripe and wing delete option.   Why would you delete the iconic stripes and wing from a Z/28?   We're not sure, but this nearly all-original 48,000 mile survivor was ordered this way.  Other features include the original blue vinyl top and "natural" colored vinyl interior.   The 350 / 4-speed manual combo makes this car fun to drive, even if power levels were slipping by 1973.   It's an unusual car, and one of the more sedate Muscle Cars in the Brothers Collection!

Some Muscle Cars are cool because they came with the goods from the factory, while others are standouts because of modifications they received after leaving the line.  In this case, this 1970 Camaro started life as a 350 powered SS car, but a trip to the Dick Harrell Performance Center was all it needed to be a monster Muscle Car built by one of the legends in Chevrolet racing.  Add to the pedigree the fact that the car is an unrestored survivor with approximately 6000 miles on the clock, and you've got a winner in every way possible.  It's one of only a handful built, and it still has the  power to burn the hides at will.  There are many souped-up cars in the Brothers Collection, but this Harrell car is one of the coolest!

 

The Chevrolet Impala Super Sports have always been big in size, long on style, and strong in performance.   This week, we're featuring a special Super Sport... a beautiful Marina Blue 1966 Impala Super Sport featuring the new-for-'66 427 in the hottest-available L72 trim.   This high-compression Turbo Jet big block was rated at 425 HP and is coupled to a close-ratio 4-speed stick transmission, and is willing to burn the tires for miles.   Inside, the parchment white bucket seat interior features a full console with stacked gauges, bright chrome trim, and a high-revving tach in the dash.   This car not only gets you there quickly, you arrive in comfort and style.   It lives in the Brothers Collection.

Any authentic Yenko Camaro is a special car, and this one is perhaps even more unique.   As the popularity of the Yenko name grew, other Chevrolet dealers were permitted to sell Yenko branded cars under license.    This Daytona Yellow '69 Yenko Camaro is one such animal, being sold new by Jack Douglass Chevrolet in Hinsdale, IL.   Jack Douglass was the authorized Yenko dealer for the Illinois and Wisconsin territory, in addition to being a high performance Chevy dealer of his own.    This Camaro features the L72 427 V8 and all the COPO 9561 and COPO 9737 package goodies, and is one of several unique Yenko cars in the Brothers Collection. 

The LS6 Chevelle option was new for 1970, and the cars went into production in late 1969. This week's Muscle Car Of The Week has a build date of December 9, 1969, making it one of the earliest. For a while, this was believed to be the earliest US-made LSX, as there is a Canadian manufacturer car with a build date of November 1969. The world will never know what the first one is unless the VIN numbers of all of the cars are somehow obtained.  No matter what, this dark green metallic, 450 hp 1970 LS6 Chevelle is one of the nicest in existence.  There are several LS6 Chevelle's in the Brothers collection, this one is one of the most unique.

This week, we're taking a look at a Muscle Car that proves one didn't need the biggest engine to be a bad machine!    The 1969 Camaro Z/28 boasted a high-revving 302 cube V8 - a size dictated by the SCCA for Trans Am racing legality.    But don't let the relatively small displacement fool you - the Z/28 302 was conservatively rated at 290 HP - although many claim it made closer to 350 HP at a higher RPM than the original rating.    This Dusk Blue example retains all the cool parts that made up the Z/28 package.   From the Brothers Collection.
