The Mercury Cougar was intended to be an upscale ride, targeting a more sophisticated buyer than a typical Muscle Car.   However, as Mercury soon found out, even sophisticates like big horsepower!   This 1969 Cougar XR-7 428 Cobra Jet convertible is tire burning proof.   From The Brothers Collections.

This week, we have a unique situation on Muscle Car Of The Week.   As we were producing this episode, the subject 1964 Shelby Cobra 289 roadster went out to the restoration shop and changed colors!     So, we decided to roll with it and show the car in the “is” and “was” colors.    It’s a very special car with many cool stories, and it is part of The Brothers Collection.

This week, we spend some time with an amazing 1970 Ford Mustang BOSS 302 that was used as the development car for Ford's performance parts program.  The idea was to help people build Trans Am spec racers of their own using some help from Ford and Kar Kraft engineers.    The Brothers Collection is faster… and louder… thanks to this historic racer and it's cool history!

In 1970, Trans Am racing was one of the hottest tickets going, and all the American automakers had a hand in the action.   This Candy Apple Red 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 is a beautiful example of the street version of Ford's Trans Am entry.   From The Brothers Collection.

We're loving this R-Code, dual quad, 427 4-speed drop-top 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 XL! It's got the looks and the power for a winning combination for Muscle Car fans! This is one of the top convertibles in The Brothers Collection.
